Danae Elon is a renowned documentary filmmaker, producer, and cinematographer, having received a 2009 Guggenheim Fellowship in Film for her outstanding work.
Her documentary, A Sister's Song, garnered numerous accolades, including the Iris Award for Best Cinematography and a nomination for Best Editing. Additionally, she won the Best Director Award from the Moscow Documentary Film Festival and the AIDC Award for Innovation in Documentary Filmmaking.
A Sister's Song premiered at prestigious film festivals, such as Leipzig Doc, IDFA, and FIPA Doc, and was showcased at various international events, including the Toronto International Film Festival, Berlinale, Tribeca Film Festival, Hot Docs, Melbourne International Film Festival, and the Human Rights Watch Film Festival.
The film also received theatrical releases in the United States and Canada and was broadcast on prominent television networks, including the BBC, ARTE, The Sundance Channel, Radio Canada, YLE Finland, TV2, Canal Vie Denmark, HOT, and CHANNEL 1 Israel, as well as AL JAZEERA International.
Currently, Elon is working on a feature film exploring the architecture of power in Jerusalem, as well as a VR project about Moshe Safdie in Jerusalem.
