Daintez "Dana Jay" Jackson, a multifaceted individual, was born and raised in the rural Projects area of Baltimore, Maryland. From an early age, he discovered his passion for singing, acting, playing drums, and performing, which became his joy and outlet.
Growing up, Dana was inspired by the greats, including Heath Ledger, Denzel Washington, Eddy Murphy, Martin Lawrence, Tyler Perry, and Jaimee Foxx, to name a few. His natural ability to perform with ease and determination led him to relocate to the Greater Atlanta area to pursue his acting career.
Dana's first role was in the Corner TV show, which opened doors for him to appear as a crowd hyper dancer/extra in the Will Smith video Freak This. He soon became in demand as a feature extra or stand-in for various productions. He has since appeared as an extra in hit TV shows such as The Wire, The Corner, and FX's Atlanta, Saints & Sinners, and Survivor's Remorse.
Dana's work in television and film also includes appearances in various videos, such as Freak This, Ruff Ends Where Do Love Goes, and upcoming projects. He has also taken on principle roles in stage productions, including John John in How to Stop Your Man from Cheating and Messy Michael in the hit play Shut Up and Eat the Apple.
In addition to his work in television and film, Dana has appeared as an extra in box office hits such as Selma, Hit-A-Lic, and Upcoming Tales. Despite his success, Dana continues to strive for greater roles and is dedicated to honing his craft daily.
Today, Dana is focused on building his personal brand and working towards his destiny in the entertainment industry.
