Dana Hill was born Dana Lynne Goetz on May 6, 1964, in a suburb of Los Angeles, California, to parents Sandy Hill and Ted Goetz, a commercial director.
Despite the challenges posed by diabetes, which forced her to abandon a promising athletic career at the tender age of ten, Dana's determination and resilience led her to pursue a career in acting in her early teenage years.
Taking her mother's maiden name as her professional acting name, Dana Hill began to make a name for herself in the entertainment industry, with standout performances in the films "Fallen Angel" (1981) and "Shoot the Moon" (1982),earning widespread critical acclaim.
Her stage work also garnered significant recognition, with Hill winning the 1986 Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Featured Actress for her performance in the production of "Picnic".
However, as the years went by, Dana's health began to decline due to the complications of her diabetes, leading her to focus more on voice-over roles in animated movies and television programs, such as "Jetsons: The Movie" (1990),"Goof Troop" (1992),and "Duckman: Private Dick/Family Man" (1994).
In the early months of 1996, Dana's health took a turn for the worse, and by late May, she had slipped into a diabetic coma. On June 5th, she suffered a paralytic stroke, and on July 15th, she passed away peacefully in the hospital at the age of 32, bringing an untimely end to a career that had spanned less than two decades across the big and small screens, animation, and the theatre.
