D. Vincent "Sento" Ashby is a highly accomplished SAFD Actor Combatant with over two decades of extensive performance experience, having worked in a wide range of capacities, including walk-about costumed street characters, historical reenactments, film stunts, and stage fight direction.
His academic background is equally impressive, having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from Murray State University in 2017, with fields of study in Theatre and Gender/Diversity Studies, as well as a minor in Sociology. He then went on to pursue his Master of Liberal Arts and Sciences degree from Western Illinois University, graduating in 2020 with a focus on Sociology and Stage Combat.
Throughout his academic journey, Ashby consistently demonstrated exceptional academic prowess, maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA, which earned him a nomination to the prestigious Phi Kappa Phi honor society, and he is now a lifetime member of this esteemed organization.
In addition to his academic achievements, Ashby has also made a significant impact in the world of theatre, serving as a Fight Director for Spoon River Community College's Theatre Department on three productions: Hamlet, alongside Bryce Robertson, in September 2018; Private Lives, alongside Bryce Robertson, in March 2019; and Scapin the Schemer in November 2019.
