Biography

D. Lynn Meyers is embarking on her 25th year as the Producing Artistic Director of Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati, a tenure marked by her direction of over 80 world and regional premieres. These productions have included a diverse range of shows, such as Hedwig and the Angry Inch, The Wolves, I Am My Own Wife, Next to Normal, and 15 world premieres, including the innovative James and Annie: After Ever After and The Dancing Princesses.

In addition to her extensive work at Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati, Lynn has also directed Off-Broadway at the esteemed York Theatre, where she brought Marsha Norman's poignant drama Traveler in the Dark to life, as well as James McClure's heartwarming comedy Max and Maxie. Throughout her career, she has directed numerous productions across the United States and Canada, and began her journey in the industry as the Associate Artistic Director at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park.

Furthermore, Lynn is a member of the prestigious Casting Society of America, and has lent her expertise to a variety of feature films, including Carol, Miles Ahead, The Public, and Dark Waters. Her casting credits also extend to television, with work for PBS, CBS, Castlerock, BBC, HBO, Netflix, Paramount, and MGM.

Lynn's numerous accolades include being one of four finalists for the esteemed Zelda Fichandler National Award in 2011, and the 2018 Rosa F. and Samuel B. Sachs Prize, which recognizes her significant regional impact and leadership in the arts.
