Craig Saavedra is a multifaceted creative force, boasting a dual identity as an independent film director and Tony Award-nominated producer.
As co-founder of Starry Night Entertainment, a production company based in both Los Angeles and New York, Saavedra has been instrumental in bringing numerous projects to life across various mediums, including film, theatre, and television.
Among his notable directorial credits are the feature films "Sherman's Way" and "Rhapsody In Bloom", which have showcased the talents of a diverse range of actors, including James LeGros, Enrico Colantoni, Michael Shulman, Donna Murphy, Penelope Ann Miller, and Ron Silver.
Starry Night Entertainment has also played a significant role in the production and investment of several notable Broadway and West End productions, such as Jez Butterworth's "The Ferryman", "Les Liaisons Dangereuses" starring Liev Schreiber and Janet McTeer, "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" featuring Neil Patrick Harris and Darren Criss, "Henry V" starring Jude Law, "Peter and Alice" with Judi Dench, "The Elephant Man" starring Bradley Cooper, "The Cripple of Inishmaan" with Daniel Radcliffe, "After Midnight", and Craig Wright's "Mistakes Were Made" at Off-Broadway's Barrow Street Theatre, which was recognized by Time Magazine as one of the Top Ten Plays of the Year.

Prior to founding Starry Night Entertainment, Saavedra served as President of Becker Entertainment, Australia's leading independent film and television production, distribution, and exhibition company, with offices in both Los Angeles and Sydney. During his tenure, he oversaw the production and development of numerous film and television projects, including "At First Sight" starring Jonathan Silverman, "The Family Bloom", "Closer and Closer" with Kim Delaney, "Only You" featuring Helen Hunt, "Gross Misconduct" with Jimmy Smits and Naomi Watts, "December Boys" starring Daniel Radcliffe, and "The Real MacCaw" with Jason Robards.
Today, Saavedra resides in both Los Angeles and New York with his husband, cinematographer Joaquin Sedillo.
