Biography

Craig Fairbrass is a renowned British actor born in East London. He made his feature film debut in 1988 as Challoner in the powerful British thriller "For Queen & Country" opposite Academy Award winner Denzel Washington.

Since then, Craig has starred in over 50 feature films, including leading roles in 20 independent films in the UK and US, as well as award-winning British TV and guest star roles in several major US TV series.

Craig is also a prolific voice actor, lending his voice to characters in the most successful video game franchise of all time, Call Of Duty Modern Warfare, as well as leading roles in the Mo-Cap games Battlefield V and Squadron 42/Star Citizen.

Craig's breakthrough role came in 2018 when he won the Best Actor award at the National Film Awards for his powerful portrayal of Pat Tate in "Rise of the Footsoldier 3 - The Pat Tate Years". He has since continued to headline the Rise of the Footsoldier franchise.

Craig's early life was marked by a difficult childhood, with his parents working as a stevedore and a machinist dressmaker. He grew up in Stepney and attended Eaglesfield boys secondary comprehensive in Woolwich, where he became fascinated with films and acting.

After being expelled at 15, Craig worked as an asphalt roofer's labourer and later as a door staff in some of South East London's less desirable nightspots to support himself while pursuing his acting career.

Craig's breakout role in "For Queen And Country" led to a string of TV appearances, including the BBC drama "Big Deal", the award-winning "London's Burning", and the BAFTA/EMMY award-winning "Prime Suspect" series.

He went on to secure a starring role in one of the biggest action movies of the 90s, "Cliffhanger" with Sylvester Stallone, which opened doors in the US independent film arena. Craig has since appeared in a wide range of films, including "Killing Time", "Darklands", "EastEnders", "The Great Dome Robbery", and "Moro".

Craig has also had a successful career in voice acting, lending his voice to characters in the Call of Duty franchise, as well as leading roles in the Mo-Cap games Battlefield V and Squadron 42/Star Citizen.

In recent years, Craig has appeared in a number of critically acclaimed films, including "Villain", "The Sun also Rises", and "A Violent Man", for which he won the Outstanding Performance Award at the 2022 National Film Awards.

Craig is currently filming the BBC/Amazon mini-series "Boat Story" and has several upcoming projects, including the stand-alone Footsoldier revenge thriller "Tate. 2 Days of Blood".
