Biography

Corinne Orr, a talented individual, was born in the vibrant city of Montreal, Canada. Her passion for the theatre began at the tender age of 10, and by the time she was 14, she was already working alongside renowned actors William Shatner and Christopher Plummer with the Montreal Repertory Theatre and Mountain Playhouse.

With her extensive stage background, Corinne seamlessly transitioned to radio, animation, and television in Canada, including the daily live TV show "Chez Hélène" in 1959. She soon made her way to New York City, further solidifying her career in the entertainment industry.

Corinne has lent her voice to an impressive array of characters in over 1,000 commercials, including the iconic Snuggle Fabric Softener's Snuggle the Bear. She has also worked on more than 200 animated movies and series, such as "Grave of the Fireflies", "Star Blazers" (1979),"Ultraman" (1966),"Marine Boy" (1968),"The Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers" (1986),"Stanley and the Great Big Book of Everything" (1980),and "PB&J Otter" (1998).

In addition to her work as the voice of Trixie, Corinne also voiced Speed's little brother, Spritle, and all the female voices in the original "Speed Racer" (1967) series. She was also featured as an announcer in the live-action film version of "Speed Racer" (2008).

Throughout her illustrious career, Corinne has served as a judge for the Emmy Awards for 18 years, a member of the Actors Guild council for 13 years, and has made appearances at numerous entertainment conventions, including The Hollywood Show, Anime North, Anime Atlanta, and New York Comic Con. She is also included in the Paley Archive's "Women in Film" series and has participated in various benefits.
