Biography

Corey Marshall is a multifaceted individual, renowned for his impressive acting and voiceover skills, particularly in the iconic Shenmue series developed by SEGA.

Born in the vibrant city of Galveston, Texas, Corey's early life was marked by a passion for martial arts, which he began training in at the tender age of seven. As he grew older, he went on to become an ATA World Champion in his early teens, showcasing his exceptional talent and dedication.

In addition to his martial arts pursuits, Corey also discovered a love for ballet during his teenage years. He attended the prestigious Robert E. Lee High School's North East School of the Arts in San Antonio, where he honed his skills and developed a strong foundation in the art form.

Corey's academic journey continued at the renowned Juilliard School, where he was offered a prestigious scholarship in dance. However, he decided to pursue his Fine Arts degree in Dance at SUNY-Purchase in upstate New York instead.

It was during his time at SUNY-Purchase that Corey auditioned for the role of Ryo Hazuki in the English-language version of the popular SEGA game Shenmue. Within a remarkably short period of just a few weeks, he found himself on a flight to Japan, tasked with recording the game.

Corey's academic pursuits were eventually put on hold as he was offered various projects, including the Shenmue series. He ultimately made the decision to relocate from New York to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.

It was in Los Angeles that Corey met his wife, Dezzi Rae, and the couple went on to have a child, Katana.
