Coolio, a Grammy award-winning and multi-platinum recording artist, is a master of reinvention, with a career spanning over two decades. Born in Compton, California, during a time of tremendous change, Coolio's early life was marked by struggle, which he channeled into his music and cooking.
With over 17 million records sold worldwide, Coolio's music has been featured in numerous major motion pictures, including Space Jam, Clueless, and The Big Payback. He has won numerous awards, including an American Music award, three MTV awards, and a World Music award. Coolio has also been nominated for six Grammy awards and has received numerous nominations from Billboard, ASCAP, and MTV.
In addition to his music, Coolio has made a successful transition to acting, starring in films such as Retirement and appearing in several HBO films and series. He has also made cameos in Bateman Dare Devil and has appeared on reality TV shows like Celebrity Cook Off and Celebrity Chopped.
