His inaugural feature film, One Hundred Mornings, made its world premiere at the prestigious Slamdance Film Festival in 2010, garnering the Special Mention Award. This milestone marked the beginning of a remarkable career in filmmaking for Horgan.
Prior to this, his short film, The Last Time, starring the esteemed Linda Bassett (East is East),enjoyed a nationwide cinema release in Ireland, and its success was recognized with a total of seven awards globally. These accolades included the UIP Director Award and the Best Irish Short Award at The Cork Film Festival.
Furthermore, Horgan's feature documentary, The Queen of Ireland, was released throughout Ireland in October 2015, and its opening weekend box-office performance shattered the record for an Irish documentary.
