Biography

Cokey Falkow, a multi-talented individual, hails from South Africa, where his father, a polyglot who spoke 12 languages, worked as a shoe salesman. His mother, an accomplished PR practitioner, was based in Florida, USA. Falkow's family ties are strong, as he is the brother of actor and writer Mike Falkow.

Falkow's early career in theatre began with a small role in Hamlet at the Natal Playhouse in his native South Africa. That same year, he co-wrote a play with actor Colin Moss, which won the prestigious "Best new play" award at the Adams Playwright festival in Durban, South Africa.

Falkow is one of only 30 individuals in South Africa to have been selected to study under the renowned improvisation theatre luminary Augusto Boal.
