Cleo Valente, a native of Italy, has been a resident of Los Angeles for the past 20 years, where she has spent over a decade working as a Producer and Casting Director for major television networks such as ABC, CBS, NBC, TLC, A&E, MTV tr3s, and more.
Throughout her career, Cleo has developed four television shows, including Throttle Junkies, Got 2 Go, Cat Fight Club, and a Christian reality series.
Prior to entering the film industry, Cleo earned a Ph.D in computer science, but it was her passion for filmmaking that led her to enroll in the Emerging Film Program at the Los Angeles Film School in 2000.
Cleo's motivation stems from her life experiences, historical issues, and her love for people. Her outgoing and charismatic personality is evident in her first passion, which lies in the art of filmmaking. In 2006, she established her own production company, Avanti Film Productions.
As a creator, director, and executive producer, Cleo has worked on several projects, including two feature documentaries: _Trans/Formed_ (2006),which won Best Documentary at the Columbia Gorge International Film Festival, and _La Revolucion Es La Musica_ in 2008.
As a screenwriter, Cleo has co-written three feature films: _Naked Ambition_, _Second Chance_, and _Where Cedar Trees Burn_, which she will direct later this year. She has also co-written and will direct _George and Sofia_ (2010),a short film.
