C.J. Laing, born Wendy Miller on August 1, 1956, in the vibrant city of New York, began her journey in the adult cinema industry during her formative years in San Francisco. Under the guidance of the renowned Mitchell Brothers, creators of the iconic Behind the Green Door (1972),Laing was featured in a series of loops titled "Juke Joint".
Following her return to New York, Laing made her debut in a theatrical adult feature in 1975, still in her late teenage years. Throughout her brief yet remarkable career, spanning merely five years, Laing appeared in over 50 adult films and loops. Notably, she was often cast in victim roles, subjected to brutal rape in both Sex Wish (1976) and The Taking of Christina (1976).
Laing's contributions to the adult entertainment industry earned her prestigious recognition, including induction into the X-Rated Critics Organization Hall of Fame as a film pioneer and into the AVN Hall of Fame in 2005, commending her strong and impressive contributions to the "Golden Age of Porn".
