Cindy Perez was born in Sacramento, California, to a Puerto Rican family, and her early life was marked by a significant move to Maryland when her father was reassigned to the US Army. At the tender age of nine, she began learning English by watching sitcoms and emulating what she saw in the mirror, a remarkable feat that would ultimately lead to her attaining one of the highest scores in the county in Math, Science, and English aptitude tests within a year.
At the age of ten, still speaking little English, Cindy auditioned and was accepted to the Thomas Pullen Creative and Performing Arts Academy in Maryland, where she majored in Vocal and Musical Performance. Her impressive talent earned her a spot to perform at the Kennedy Center alongside Rita Moreno, as well as appearances on PBS and other news outlets. Additionally, she was a part of the State Honor Choir for three consecutive years, during which she was one of ten selected among thousands of children to perform in a special performance with the Maryland Philharmonic, featuring British composer Douglas Coombes' "Choral Symphony No. 1. Merlin, Magician of the Universe."
Cindy's remarkable academic and artistic achievements continued as she graduated from Seoul American High School at the age of sixteen and attended college shortly after. At twenty, she completed her Bachelor's degree while working at the Defense Information Systems Agency and was awarded a prestigious internship with the US Department of State at the US Embassy in Seoul, South Korea.
Her illustrious career continued as she joined the United States Army as an Intelligence Officer, attaining the rank of Captain and working with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA),as well as other agencies throughout her career in the reserves. Simultaneously, Cindy became a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI),where she was stationed in Salt Lake City, UT, and San Juan, Puerto Rico, working in the public corruption and gangs and narcotics squad.
Throughout her time in the FBI, Cindy played a pivotal role in coordinating and leading over 30 multiple agency raids, arrests, and search warrants with the DEA and other law enforcement agencies. Her exceptional work led to her being nominated for the Attorney General's Excellence in Law Enforcement Award in 2015, one of the highest distinctions in the law enforcement community. She has received numerous awards and accolades in both the Army and FBI.
In 2017, Cindy transitioned back to her artistic roots, finding success in multiple commercials, movies, and attending the Sundance Director's Lab that year. She eventually decided to move to Los Angeles in 2019 to pursue her passion permanently. In 2023, Cindy graduated with a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from the prestigious Anderson School of Management in UCLA.
