Cillian Murphy

Cillian Murphy, a striking Irish actor, was born in Douglas, Co Cork, as the oldest child of Brendan Murphy, an employee of the Irish Department of Education, and a mother who is a teacher of French. He has three younger siblings and was educated at Presentation Brothers College, Cork. Murphy then pursued a law degree at University College Cork, but dropped out after a year to focus on his passion for music, playing guitar in various bands.
