Chunchuna Villafane was born Elva Villafañe in the year 1940, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey that would span several decades. In the 1960s, she embarked on a career in modeling, a path that would lay the foundation for her future endeavors.
As the 1970s unfolded, Villafañe's talents extended to the silver screen, as she appeared in the film "No toquena a la nena" in 1976. However, this period of her life was also marked by turmoil, as the military junta took power in Argentina, prompting Villafañe to flee the country with her two daughters and her then-partner, renowned film director Pino Solanas, in the same year.
The trio eventually settled in Spain, where Villafañe resided for approximately seven years. In 1985, Argentina transitioned back to democratic rule, and Villafañe returned to her native land, marking the beginning of a new chapter in her life.
Since her return, Villafañe has made a significant impact on the Argentine film industry, appearing in the Oscar-winning foreign film "The Official Story" (1985) alongside Norma Aleandro and Hector Alterio. She has also made appearances in the soap opera "Extraños y Amantes" (1985) starring Antonio Grimau and Cecilia Roth.
In addition to her work in film, Villafañe has also appeared in the movies "Privates Lives" (2001) and "_Nunca estuve en Viena" (1988)_. The actress is also a devoted mother to her two daughters, Juana Molina, an actress and singer, and Ines Molina, an actress and musician. Furthermore, Villafañe is a skilled architect, a profession she still practices to this day.
