Christopher Peditto is a talented individual with a diverse career spanning across the United States and internationally. His journey began in Chicago, where he served as the artistic director of igLoo Theatre, before relocating to New York City, where he collaborated with various esteemed organizations, including Naked Angels, Shooting Gallery, Workhouse, MCC Theatre, and HERE Arts Center.
Among his notable directing credits are the Chicago premiere of Lee Breuer's A Prelude to Death In Venice, the world premiere stage adaptations of John Fante's The Saga of Arturo Bandini, Jim Thompson's The Killer Inside Me, Charles Bukowski's Pulp, and European premieres of The Neverending Story at Sarajevo Youth Theater and Warren Leight's Side Man at Chamber Theater Sarajevo.
Peditto made his feature film directorial debut with Light and the Sufferer, starring Paul Dano and Michael Esper, which premiered at the Edmonton International Film Festival. In 2022, he founded River Rep Theatre in the Sullivan Catskills, where he directed their inaugural production of Danny and the Deep Blue Sea at Hurleyville Arts Centre, followed by the acclaimed dystopian classic "We" at Delaware Valley Opera Center in 2023.
Peditto's educational background includes studying drama at Carnegie-Mellon University and training with renowned director Robert Lewis, co-founder of The Actor's Studio. He currently teaches acting at Homestead School in Hurleyville, NY. His work has received support from the U.S. Embassy Sarajevo Cultural Grants Program, Illinois Arts Council, Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, and New York State Council for the Arts.
