Christopher Arthur Greet, a renowned announcer and presenter, made a lasting impact on Radio Ceylon, the oldest radio station in South Asia, earning iconic status alongside his fellow announcers. Millions of listeners tuned in to the station, captivated by his engaging presence.

After leaving Radio Ceylon, Greet transitioned to a successful career in advertising, serving as an account director at Intasel Advertising in Colombo, Sri Lanka, in 1978. Additionally, he worked as a freelance copywriter and radio announcer, recording commercials for various Sri Lankan advertising agencies during the early 1980s.

Beyond his work in radio and advertising, Chris Greet is also a talented actor, boasting an impressive portfolio of roles. One of his earliest notable performances was as a British officer in the epic film The Bridge on the River Kwai, starring Sir Alec Guinness, which was filmed in Ceylon. Greet also appeared in numerous plays in Colombo, sharing the stage with esteemed Ceylonese actors such as Lucien de Zoysa and Eddie Nathanielz.

Throughout his career, Greet has appeared in a wide range of productions, including plays, films, and television comedy programs. Notably, he collaborated with Victoria Wood on the sitcom dinnerladies, which aired in 1998.
