Biography

Christopher Godwin is a British actor with a long-standing career spanning over five decades, beginning in the late 1960s.

He made his television debut at the age of 25, taking on the role of PC Grange in an episode of Softly, Softly, and has since appeared in numerous television dramas, including Z-Cars, Return to Waterloo, South of the Border, Return to Treasure Island, Nice Work, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, My Family and Other Animals, FairyTale: A True Story, The Bill, Murder in Mind, and Waking the Dead.

In 2012, Godwin guest-starred as Leopold Leopoldovitch in Season 1, Episode 4 of A Young Doctor's Notebook, and also lent his voice to the roles of Darth Vowrawn in the video game Star Wars: The Old Republic and Chancellor Roderick in the video game Dragon Age: Inquisition.

On stage, Godwin has played the role of Holofernes in Love's Labour's Lost during the 2007 season at Shakespeare's Globe, and has starred in The Woman in Black at the Fortune Theatre in London, as well as appearing in This House at the Garrick Theatre.

In January 2016, Godwin played the role of Lord Berners in Episode 3 of the BBC Radio 4 Afternoon Drama What England Owes.
