Biography

Christine Estabrook, a veteran actress, has amassed an impressive portfolio of roles across film, television, and theater. Born and raised in East Aurora, near Buffalo, New York, Estabrook was one of five children raised by a single mother. Her early life was marked by a strong work ethic, as she worked various jobs to support herself through school.

One of her early jobs was at the first Fisher-Price toy factory, where she made toys by hand. After graduating from the prestigious Yale School of Drama, Estabrook moved to New York to pursue an acting career. Among her classmates at Yale was the renowned Meryl Streep.

Estabrook quickly made a name for herself in the theater, starring in numerous Broadway productions, including The Sisters Rosenzweig, The Heidi Chronicles, I'm Not Rappaport, The Inspector General, and The Cherry Orchard. Her impressive stage career was recognized with several awards and nominations, including a Drama Desk Award for her work in The Boys Next Door, an Obie Award for her role in Pastorale, and a Drama Desk Award nomination for her performance in North Shore Fish.

Estabrook's extensive experience in regional theater productions and her participation in the Eugene O'Neill Playwrights Conference for four years solidified her position as a respected and accomplished actress. After 17 years of performing on stage, Estabrook decided to take on new challenges and relocated to Los Angeles, eager to explore the world of television and film.

Since her move to Los Angeles, Estabrook has guest-starred on some of television's most popular shows and appeared in numerous feature films. One of her most notable roles was that of Mrs. Huber on Desperate Housewives, which was written especially for her by the show's creator, Marc Cherry.
