Christianna Carmine, a native New Yorker, has made a name for herself as an acclaimed director with a rich background in the performing arts. Born and raised in the city, Carmine's early life was marked by her passion for the stage, which led her to pursue a career as a young actor.
However, her curiosity about the human condition and her desire to understand the intricacies of human behavior led her to further her education by studying psychology at the graduate level. Carmine went on to earn a Master's Degree in Psychology, with a focus on criminal sociopathy, a field that would later influence her work as a director.
Despite her accomplishments in the field of psychology, Carmine decided to trade in her academic pursuits for a career in the entertainment industry. She began to appear in films, television shows, and over 40 national commercials, honing her craft and developing her skills as a performer.
As a director, Carmine's films have garnered international recognition, screening at over 50 festivals worldwide, including the prestigious LA Shorts Fest and BronzeLens Film Festival. Her work has earned numerous awards, including Best International Film, Best Director, and Best Comedy.
In 2022, Carmine made her commercial directing debut with a campaign for the popular online brand, Adore Me. The following year, she was selected as one of six fellows to participate in the Alliance of Women Directors Rising Directors Fellowship program.
Most recently, Carmine was invited to join the roster of directors at Mighty Studios, a career milestone she is thrilled about. When she's not behind the camera, Carmine is an advocate for environmental issues, parity in the workplace, and cancer research. She is also passionate about creating socially relevant content through comedy and enjoys watching true-crime documentaries, hiding from her children, and making people laugh.
