Christian Roberts, born on March 17th, 1944, in Southmoor, Berkshire, England, began his educational journey at Cranleigh School in Surrey, England, from 1953 to 1962. He then pursued his passion for the dramatic arts at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, England, from 1964 to 1966.
Christian's professional career took off with his debut in the 1967 film "To Sir, with Love". He went on to receive the prestigious Laurel Award and was recognized as one of Filmdom's Famous Fives.
In addition to his work in films and television, Christian spent several seasons acting in theater productions at various esteemed venues, including the Redgrave Theatre in Surrey, The Salisbury Playhouse, Theatre Royal in York, and the Watford Palace Theatre, from 1972 to 1980.
In 1980, Christian joined the board of his family business, Job's Dairy, and also took on the role of director at the Theatre Royal, Windsor. However, his passion for acting never wavered, and in 1988, he returned to the stage, producing and starring in "Return to the Forbidden Planet" and "From a Jack to a King", both of which premiered in London's West End. His performance in "Return to the Forbidden Planet" earned him the prestigious Laurence Olivier Award in 1990.
In 1995, Christian relocated to Barbados in the Caribbean, where he has since established himself as a prominent figure in the local entertainment scene. He is the owner and operator of the renowned "Lone Star" Restaurant and Hotel on the island's fashionable West Coast.
Despite his busy schedule, Christian has expressed his desire to return to acting and has recently completed filming for the Barbados Film Festival's "Holding on", produced by Laura Lin Hutchinson and directed by Martinique's Maharaki.
In 2016, Christian served as the Executive Director for the film "A Caribbean Dream", written and directed by Shakirah M Bourne and produced by Melissa Simmonds for Caribbean Film Productions Ltd. The film has already garnered numerous accolades, including Best Film at the London Independent Film Festival and Best Screenplay at The Los Angeles Independent Film Festival.
