Christian McIntire's illustrious career in the film industry spans over four decades, commencing in 1980 as an actor, before he discovered his true calling behind the camera. Since 1996, he has been working in various capacities, including editor, writer, visual effects artist, director, and producer.
During his tenure with the Unified Film Organization, McIntire oversaw all aspects of production and post-production, holding positions such as staff editor, post-production supervisor, and eventually head of production. Throughout his time there, he edited a dozen films, directed second unit on numerous films, produced three films, wrote four films, and directed five feature films, including the NAACP Image Award-nominated Phantom Force.
Visual effects were a side interest that evolved from his involvement in effects-intensive films. McIntire began to learn the latest techniques in computer graphics imaging, which led him to initially do effects shots on his own films and eventually supervise a large effects sequence for the Warner Brothers Peter Hyams film, A Sound of Thunder. He went on to form his own company, Clockwork Planet, providing visual effects for several films, including those he produced for the SyFy Channel, including the popular Warbirds.
Since 2010, McIntire has been working with Rogue State to provide his production and post-production expertise on over two dozen projects, while also developing his own projects for various cable outlets, including SyFy, Comedy Central, and Adult Swim.
