Christian Matzke

Christian Matzke, a talented filmmaker, calls Portland, Maine his home and creative hub. As he neared the completion of his degree in Political Science, he found himself driven to pursue his passion for filmmaking, and his first film, Nyarlathotep, was born in 2001. This inaugural project was a natural extension of his dual loves for cinema and the works of H.P. Lovecraft. Prior to embarking on his own Lovecraftian short film, Christian had the opportunity to collaborate with fellow filmmaker Aaron Vanek on a project inspired by the renowned author's eerie tales. Building upon this experience, Christian went on to create his second film, another adaptation of Lovecraft's works, which premiered in the fall of 2003. Currently, he is hard at work on an original production, White Rhino, which promises to be an exciting new chapter in his filmmaking journey.
