Biography

Christian de la Cortina, a multifaceted actor and director born in Canada to Chilean parents, has spent the last 15 years building a remarkable career in both television and film.

Notably, his performances have been met with widespread acclaim for the unwavering passion and authenticity he brings to his roles, earning him recognition within the Latin community in Canada, where he took home the Best Actor Award at The Latin Awards Canada in 2021.

In recent years, Christian has focused on bringing his own stories to the screen, writing and directing his own theatrical feature films.

His directorial debut, "Transit", released theatrically in Canada by eOne in 2009, garnered international attention.

The success of "Generation Wolf", his second feature, was marked by extensive film festival exposure, including the prestigious Best Latin Film Award at the Borregos Spring Film Festival, before being picked up by Samuel Goldwyn Films for the U.S. and receiving a theatrical release in 2016.

Christian's third feature film, "The Office Games", was acquired by Quiver Distribution.

His most personal project to date, "Undocumented", is a captivating drama that sheds light on the precarious fate of migrant workers in North America, a subject close to Christian's heart.
