Biography

Christian Bach's Early Life and Education

Christian Bach was born into a family that valued the arts. As a child, she was trained in ballet and jazz, laying the foundation for her future career in the entertainment industry. As a teenager, she began taking acting classes, which further honed her skills. By the age of 16, she had already caught the attention of producers.

In addition to her passion for acting, Bach was also driven to pursue a career in law. She received professional training in the field, which she complemented with the study of English, French, and Russian.

Career in Mexico

Bach's breakthrough came when she was cast in the Argentinean soap opera El amor tiene cara de mujer. This led to her discovery by renowned Chilean producer Valentín Pimstein, who convinced her to travel to Mexico to star in the soap opera Veronica in 1979. She went on to appear in the second stage of Los ricos también lloran, playing Edith González's mother.

Professional Partnership with Humberto Zurita

Bach's professional partnership with Humberto Zurita began when they collaborated on the production Colorina y Soledad. The two would go on to work together on several projects, both in front of and behind the camera.

Notable Projects

Some of Bach's most notable projects include Bodas de Odio, where she played Magdalena Mendoza, a young woman torn between her love for a humble soldier and her arranged marriage to a man of high society. She also starred in Cañaveral de Pasiones, which became a huge success and marked her debut as a producer. Her son Sebastián Zurita made his artistic debut in this telenovela.

Later Career and Retirement

After leaving Televisa, Bach moved to TV Azteca, where she produced and starred in La chacala, a project that showcased her versatility as an actress. She continued to work behind the scenes with Azul Tequila, giving opportunities to up-and-coming talent like Bárbara Mori.

Bach's last project was Agua y Aceite, which marked the end of her partnership with her husband's production company, Zuba. The couple then relocated to Miami, where they lived until Bach's retirement from the screen in 2017.

Personal Life and Legacy

Bach's two sons, Emiliano and Sebastián, are co-owners of the production company Addiction House projects. Her husband, Humberto Zurita, has also been a significant presence in her life and career. Bach passed away on February 26, 2019, in Mexico City, Mexico, due to a respiratory arrest.
