Leaving behind the familiar landscape of New Jersey in the 1980s, a young individual embarked on a journey to pursue his passion for the arts, albeit with a less-than-stellar academic performance in the subject. The next chapter of his life unfolded in Nottingham, where he cleverly assumed the role of a student, leveraging his acquaintance who was enrolled in the film course to facilitate his stay. This newfound opportunity ultimately culminated in the creation of his first short film, Map of the Scars, which transported viewers back to the idyllic setting of his native Jersey.
