Chris Berkenkamp, a native of Newport Beach, California, was born on January 23, 1981, to Charles and Elizabeth Berkenkamp. He spent his formative years in Phoenix, Arizona, where he attended Brophy College Preparatory, a prestigious Jesuit all-boys high school located in North Central Phoenix.
During his time at Brophy College Preparatory, Chris excelled in English Literature, laying the foundation for his future academic and professional pursuits. His academic achievements earned him a full ride scholarship to study cinema at Loyola Marymount University School of Film and Television, which he took advantage of by relocating to Los Angeles, where he currently resides.
While attending Loyola Marymount University, Chris co-founded Dionysus Company Entertainment with his business partner Nat McCormick. This entrepreneurial venture has since spawned its spinoff, onesixtwosix productions, which is currently involved in the production of a slate of TV pilots in collaboration with Size 12 Productions and Insomnia Media Group. Additionally, the company is actively developing feature films.
Outside of his work in the film industry, Chris is a passionate music lover and a dedicated advocate for environmental and social consciousness efforts.
