Chris Bergoch is a renowned American screenwriter and producer, whose illustrious career has been characterized by a fruitful and long-standing creative partnership with the highly acclaimed director Sean Baker, resulting in the joint authorship of several notable and critically acclaimed films, including the 2015 release of Tangerine, which garnered widespread critical acclaim for its bold and unflinching portrayal of the lives of transgender sex workers in Los Angeles, as well as the 2017 premiere of The Florida Project, a poignant and powerful drama that shed light on the lives of marginalized children growing up in poverty-stricken areas of Florida, and most recently, the 2021 debut of Red Rocket, a thought-provoking and deeply personal film that explores the complexities and challenges of small-town life in Texas.
