Although her initial studies provided a solid foundation, it wasn't until she relocated to Los Angeles and attended the renowned Groundlings Theater that she felt she had truly grasped the essence of comedy. Under the guidance of her teacher, the accomplished actress Lisa Kudrow, Hines honed her improvisation skills and learned to craft comedy sketches. This invaluable experience laid the groundwork for her future success, particularly in her role as Larry David's wife on the hit HBO series Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000).
