Cheryl Campbell is a renowned English actress, whose impressive body of work has garnered her widespread recognition, particularly in the United States, where she is often associated with her iconic role as Eileen in the critically acclaimed television series Pennies from Heaven (1978),which earned her a BAFTA nomination for Best Television Actress.

In the following year, she demonstrated her remarkable versatility by delivering outstanding performances in three distinct productions, ultimately winning the prestigious BAFTA award for her outstanding work in Testament of Youth (1979),Mystery!: Malice Aforethought (1979),and Une maison, une histoire (1980).

Born in 1949 in St. Albans, Hertfordshire, Campbell's passion for acting was nurtured at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA),where she honed her craft before embarking on a career in repertory theater, with notable stints at Birmingham Rep and the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC).
