Chelsea Field is an American actress born in Glendale, California. Her breakthrough role was as Teela in the 1987 film "Masters of the Universe", a cult classic and the first live-action adaptation of the popular "Masters of the Universe" franchise.
Field's early film appearances included the horror films "Prison" (1987) and "Death Spa" (1989),both of which featured vengeful spirits tormenting victims. Her first major television role was as student nurse Samantha "Sam" Sullivan in the short-lived medical drama "Nightingales" (1989).
Field's next regular television role was as reporter Cassy Swann in "Capital News" (1990),a series that focused on the staff of a fictional newspaper. She played the motorcycle cop Virginia Slim in the 1991 neo-Western film "Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man", alongside Don Johnson.
In the 1990s, Field appeared in several films, including the action comedy "The Last Boy Scout" (1991),the horror film "Dust Devil" (1992),and the psychological thriller "Snapdragon" (1993). She also starred in the short-lived drama series "Angel Falls" (1993) and played the lead character Rae Dawn Snow.
