Charlie Talbert, born Charles McClellan Talbert, hails from Kenosha, Wisconsin, where his journey in the entertainment industry began to unfold. It was a serendipitous encounter that led to his big break, as he was discovered by Director Patrick Read Johnson on a fateful evening in 1977. Charlie was waiting in line at a local Wendy's, regaling the workers with his witty jokes, when Johnson spotted him and was impressed by his charisma and comedic timing. This chance encounter landed Charlie the starring role in the 1995 Turner Classic film "Angus".
After a six-year hiatus from acting, Charlie rebooted his career in early 2015, appearing in a string of notable films, including "I Saw The Light" (2015),"Hap and Leonard" (2015),"Camera Obscura" (2017),and the Oscar-winning film "The Big Short" (2015). In addition to his film work, Charlie has also ventured into the world of stand-up comedy, performing at esteemed venues such as The Groundlings in Los Angeles, The World Famous Comedy Store on Sunset Blvd, and the HaHa Cafe Comedy Club on Lankershim Blvd.
When not in front of the camera, Charlie is an ordained minister, having taken the sacred vows to serve as a spiritual guide for his friends and fans. He has performed several wedding ceremonies, bringing joy and happiness to those around him. Charlie's philosophy on life is reflected in his two favorite mantras: "There are no small parts, only small actors" and "Every little bit helps". These words serve as a guiding principle for his approach to his craft, as well as his personal relationships.
