Biography

Charles has an extensive background in the Entertainment Industry, stemming from his early beginnings in the "Hollywood Showbiz Family". At the tender age of 7, he started singing spontaneously with his father's vocal group, "The Ink Spots", laying the foundation for his future endeavors.

As fate would have it, Charles went on to form his own band, "Songbird", and shortly after, secured a record contract with GRT, taking him from Los Angeles to Canada. After years of touring, recording, and rocking the house, Charles developed a keen interest in the closeness and intimacy of the Theater.

This newfound passion led him to become a thespian, with a hunger to understand the inner workings of this medium driving him to write, produce, and direct for the stage. Eventually, Charles became the Artistic Director of his own theater company, Black Arts Theater, with several successful productions under his belt, including "For Colored Girls...", "Ain't Nothin' but a Party", and "Fences".

Concurrently, Charles ventured into television and film, one of his first ventures being "The Nice Show" on CBC, which he wrote, produced, and starred in. Finding his niche, Mr. Gray has spent the past fifteen years producing, directing, and writing for Film/Television/Stage, working with notable networks such as CBS, ABC, NBC, BET, USA, The Family Channel, Showtime, FOX, and others.

Currently, Mr. Gray's focus is on producing independent theatrical/cable films for domestic and international markets. To this end, he has recently formed Graysphere Entertainment Group, with the primary purpose of developing, producing, and marketing high-caliber film work that meets the highest standards of quality, brilliance, and fiscal responsibility.
