Charles Porter was born in the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, England, and holds dual citizenship with both England and the United States.
He played five years of Division 1 football at Duke University and decided not to pursue a career in the NFL after undergoing extensive back surgery following his final season at Duke.
At Duke, Charles focused his studies on Cultural Anthropology, drawn to the major by his love of people and culture. He is also conversational in French.
Charles' acting career began with his lead role in the Lionsgate horror film Holla, followed by his lead and producing role in the psychological thriller Nailed, released by Image Entertainment.
He has also made guest appearances on several top network television shows.
In 2010, Charles battled stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma, and after a year-long fight, the cancer went into remission. He has since undergone three relapses, including a CarT Cell transplant in 2022 and a Bone Marrow transplant in 2023.
Despite his health challenges, Charles has remained committed to his craft, starring in films such as A Race Story, Battered, JC, and A Miracle Before Christmas, and producing films like Finding Faith, which is set to be released in theaters on June 16th, 2025.
Charles has also published two books of poems, "Get to Know: Unlocking the Essence in You" in 2013 and "Choose Your Path" in 2015, both available on Amazon.
In addition to his acting and writing career, Charles has been involved in various charitable endeavors, including supporting cancer research and awareness.
