Charles Laulette was born and raised in the vicinity of Cleveland, Ohio, where he spent his formative years. At the tender age of nineteen, he made the bold decision to leave his hometown and relocate to New York City to pursue his academic ambitions. This move marked the beginning of a new chapter in his life, as he settled in the city that would become his home for many years to come. Specifically, he made Glendale, California his current residence.
It was during the latter part of 2011 that Charles's interest in writing was piqued, and he began to delve deeper into the world of creative writing. His initial foray into writing was met with a television pilot, which he completed, but soon found himself compelled to explore the process further. This led him to write a screenplay, followed by a series of rewrites, and ultimately, the completion of ten additional scripts.
To date, Charles has written a total of twelve projects, including a full-length stage play, which showcases his impressive range and versatility as a writer. His most recent project is a screenplay, which he has dubbed "stream of consciousness," a testament to his refined writing style and technique.
Prior to his writing career, Charles had a background in acting, having studied the craft in the theatrical setting of New York City. He has since honed his skills by working on numerous television and movie sets, and even dabbled in stand-up comedy for a six-month period earlier in his life.
Charles is a proud graduate of Columbia University and remains a Mid-Westerner at heart, retaining the passion and persistence that defined his New York days. Interestingly, he has also undergone a transformation in his personal life, having reformed his tanning habits, which he had previously indulged in excessively. This transformation, which occurred at the end of 2011, marks a significant turning point in his life.
