Charles Lawrence De'Ath, born on May 24th, 1968, in London, is the son of Wilfred De'Ath, a renowned BBC producer and columnist, and his wife Erica. He has an older sister, Emma, who is an executive producer for the BBC's Open University programme.
From 1979 to 1984, Charles attended Woolverstone Hall School in Suffolk, where he received his primary education. Following this, he pursued his passion for acting by training at Arts Educational, a prestigious performing arts school in Chiswick, West London.
Charles made his television debut in 1994 and has since become a familiar face on the small screen, often credited as Charlie De'Ath. Throughout his career, he has played a wide range of characters, frequently portraying policemen who are not always trustworthy. One of his notable roles is that of the bent sergeant in the TV series 'WPC 56'.
In addition to his television work, Charles has also appeared on stage, taking part in various productions. He was part of the prize-winning play 'The Cage' at the Edinburgh Fringe, and has also performed at the Arts Theatre in London in the plays 'Baggage' and 'A Deafening Silence'. He is currently based in Liverpool with his wife and children, where he continues to pursue his passion for acting.
