Charissa Wheeler, a talented actress and musician, was born to a minister father and a music teacher mother in a small town in Southeastern Minnesota. Her early life was marked by frequent performances as a young pianist and singer, thanks to her mother's tutelage, which began when she was just four years old.
Charissa's formal education included a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theatre from Millikin University. She then started her career in Chicago, where she appeared in original plays, improv shows, and sketch shows in the city's numerous black box theatres. She also broke into the Chicago independent film community with a role in the cult classic horror film "The Promise Keeper".
In Los Angeles, Charissa made her television debut on the show "On The Lot" (FOX),hosted by Director D.J. Caruso. She then gained international recognition after being featured in a well-known YouTube clip, which has become an internet sensation with over 1 billion views worldwide. This clip, which shows her falling into a pool during what appears to be a real wedding, is actually a scene from the movie "Chloe and Keith's Wedding", in which she played the title role.
Charissa is also the creator and star of "The New 20's", a sitcom that explores the challenges of being in one's thirties and single in the modern dating scene. She is a skilled pianist, vocalist, and music teacher, with many years of experience. She has opened a popular private music teaching school in Burbank, called The Music Junction, where she teaches piano and voice to over 200 young students.
