Chandler Massey was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, where he spent his childhood surrounded by his loving family, consisting of his parents, Lewis and Amy Massey, and his two younger siblings. His father, Lewis, held the esteemed position of Secretary of State of Georgia, and his mother, Amy, played a significant role in nurturing Chandler's artistic inclinations.
As a student at Norcross High School, Chandler was an active member of the Drama Club, showcasing his talents in numerous school productions. Following his graduation in May 2009, he made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles, California, to pursue his dream of becoming an actor. He enrolled at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA),eager to hone his craft and make a name for himself in the entertainment industry.
In December 2009, after completing his first quarter at UCLA, Chandler took a bold step by auditioning for the role of "Will Horton" on NBC's top-rated daytime drama, Days of Our Lives. His talent and dedication paid off, as he landed the part and began his journey as a professional actor. Over the course of his first four years on the show, Chandler received four Daytime Emmy nominations and three wins for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series, making him the first actor to win this honor for playing a gay character.
In 2013, Chandler decided to leave Days of Our Lives to focus on his studies at UCLA and to explore opportunities in independent filmmaking. He continued to hone his craft, taking on various projects and learning from his experiences.
In 2017, Chandler reprised his role as Will Horton on Days of Our Lives, earning his fifth Emmy nomination in the process. He continued to balance his acting career with his academic pursuits, eventually graduating from UCLA in 2018.
Today, Chandler resides in Los Angeles, California, where he continues to pursue his passion for acting and remains committed to his craft.
