Cecil Stokes, a multifaceted creative force, established Tentmakers Entertainment in 1999, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey in the entertainment industry. As an Executive Producer, Writer, Producer, and Director, Cecil has had the privilege of working on over 500 cable television shows for prominent networks such as A&E, Court TV, DIY, ESPN, Food Network, HGTV, History Channel, and Turner.
Throughout his illustrious career, Cecil has garnered numerous accolades, including the prestigious Communicator Award, as well as dozens of Tellys and a Regional Emmy, for his outstanding work in television programming. His award-winning documentaries, A MAN NAMED PEARL and CHILDREN OF ALL AGES, are testaments to his skill and dedication.
In addition to his documentary work, Cecil co-created and produced the feature film OCTOBER BABY, further expanding his repertoire. Moreover, he has written, produced, and directed over 100 branded entertainment commercials for the Scripps Networks, including HGTV, DIY, Food Network, Cooking Channel, Fine Living, and GAC.
In 2018, Cecil and his son co-founded "Boone and Me," a speaking ministry that aims to encourage Christians to foster and adopt. This endeavor not only showcases Cecil's passion for storytelling but also his commitment to making a positive impact on society.
