Cate, a multifaceted individual, embodies the diverse talents of an actor, singer, and violinist. Born in Nanaimo, British Columbia, her passion for music began at the tender age of seven when she started studying violin. As she grew, she naturally gravitated towards other instruments, including the piano, and eventually discovered her voice as a singer. This led her to explore the realm of music theatre, where she found her true calling.
Cate's educational journey took her to the Canadian College of Performing Arts, where she spent two years honing her skills in dance, singing, and acting. Her dedication and hard work paid off as she graduated with a Diploma in Performing Arts. Throughout her academic tenure, she had the opportunity to showcase her talents in various productions, including the title role in "Little Miss BC" in "That Maple Feeling" (Atomic Vaudeville, CCPA),Ma Joad in "The Grapes of Wrath" (CCPA),Cate in "Godspell" (Epiphany Productions),and Rosemary in "How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying".
One of the most notable highlights of her career was the privilege of singing backup for the renowned Josh Groban at David Foster's Miracle Weekend Concert in May. Joining 70 CCPA students and alumni, Cate was part of an unforgettable experience that allowed her to share the stage with a global superstar.
