Biography

Cate's roots run deep in Thame, Oxfordshire, a place where her paternal family has resided for over 600 years, tracing their lineage back to the esteemed Plantagenet and Tudor Courts. This remarkable heritage has undoubtedly influenced her artistic endeavors. In recent years, she has been aptly described in The Sunday Times (June 2017) as "Weirdly Sexy and Urbane", a testament to her captivating on-screen presence.

Throughout her illustrious career, Cate has worked extensively in various mediums, including Theatre, Film, and Television. Her early training was under the tutelage of the renowned Isobel Van Beers at Oxford, where she honed her craft. After attending the prestigious GSA, she landed one of her first leading roles as Avonia Bunn in the BBC adaptation of "Trelawney of the Wells", a part previously played by the illustrious Dame Maggie Smith at The National Theatre in London.
