Carter Mark Jenkins was born in Tampa, Florida, to Mary (Sanders) and Eric Jenkins, and spent his childhood in Carrollwood, Florida, where he was raised in a Jewish household with two older siblings, Tiffany and Renneker Jenkins.
At the tender age of 7, Carter began taking acting classes as an after-school activity and a means to overcome his shyness. He started by performing in community theater and eventually transitioned to local and national commercials. When he was just 10 years old, he and his mother embarked on a journey to Los Angeles to explore opportunities in film and television.
Six months later, his entire family made the bold decision to relocate from Florida to Sherman Oaks, California, in a bid to support his burgeoning acting career. It was a move that would prove to be a pivotal moment in Carter's life, as his dedication and work ethic soon became evident to his family.
Since 2002, Carter has had the privilege of working on over 20 television shows, including a leading role on NBC's "Surface". He has also shared the screen with Emma Roberts in "Valentine's Day" and battled aliens in FOX's "Aliens in the Attic". Furthermore, he has appeared in the feature films "Bad News Bears", "Keeping Up with the Steins", and "Arcadia Lost".
In addition to his impressive television and film credits, Carter had the opportunity to star in Chris Colfer's (Glee) feature film debut, "Struck by Lightning" (2012),which was directed by Brian Dannelly.
