Biography

Caroline Goodall, a renowned actress of international acclaim, was born in Britain to Australian parents. She gained recognition for her starring roles in numerous blockbuster films of the 1990s, including Schindler's List, Hook, Cliffhanger, Disclosure, White Squall, and The Princess Diaries.

Goodall's educational background is impressive, having graduated from Bristol University with a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Drama and English. During her time at the university, she had the opportunity to study alongside notable screenwriters such as Jeremy Brock, who later wrote Mrs. Brown.

As a writer, Goodall has credits including "The Bay of Silence" for Radiant Pictures and screen adaptations of Rupert Thomson's "Dreams Of Leaving" for HKM Films. Her writing career is marked by a balance between independent and studio films, as well as a presence in television.

Prior to her successful film career, Goodall was a member of The Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre of Great Britain, where she honed her craft on stage. Her breakthrough role came when she was chosen by Steven Spielberg to star in Hook in 1991. Since then, she has worked on a wide range of projects in the USA, Canada, Europe, and Australia.

Goodall's impressive filmography includes nominations for Best Actress from the Australian Film Institute in 1990 for Cassidy and again in 1995 for Hotel Sorrento. She also received a Logie nomination for Best Actress for A Difficult Woman, which won the best TV miniseries award at the New York Festival in 1998.

In her personal life, Goodall is married to cinematographer Nicola Pecorini and has two children, Gemma and Leone. She is also the sister of producer Victoria Goodall, who is married to actor/director Dallas Campbell.
