Carol Ann Susi was a renowned American actress, widely recognized for her iconic voice acting skills, particularly in her portrayal of the recurring unseen character Mrs. Wolowitz on the beloved television series The Big Bang Theory, which premiered in 2007.

Born on February 2, 1952, in Brooklyn, Susi was of Italian descent, and her passion for acting led her to enroll in HB Studio in New York City, where she honed her craft.

In the 1970s, Susi made the move to Los Angeles, marking the beginning of her successful acting career. Her first screen appearance was in the 1974 television series Kolchak: The Night Stalker.
