Biography

Carmen Gloria Pérez, a remarkable individual, was born in the vibrant and diverse neighborhood of The Bronx, New York, where the sounds of the city and the warmth of its people would forever shape her identity.

As a young child, she made the bold decision to relocate to the beautiful and culturally rich island of Puerto Rico, where she would spend her formative years absorbing the island's unique rhythm and charm.

Pérez's path was forever changed when, at the tender age of 17, she took the courageous step of joining the United States Army active duty. Her military service would take her to various parts of the world, including overseas postings and eventually, the nation's capital, Washington, D.C.

Early in her professional career, Pérez's remarkable talent and dedication to her craft earned her the prestigious 2003 ADA Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama, bestowed upon her by the esteemed Valley Theatre League for her outstanding performance in the powerful and poignant play "Soldiers Don't Cry," written by the acclaimed playwright Layon Gray.
