Carl, a native of Guernsey in the Channel Islands, earned his degree in Film Studies from Sheffield Hallam University.
At the tender age of 22, Carl single-handedly raised the necessary funds to create a documentary about the Occupation of the Channel Islands during World War 2, titled In Toni's Footsteps, which has since been retailed globally on DVD.
Between 2000 and 2004, Carl co-founded High Tide Productions with his long-standing friend Jonathan Hickman. High Tide Productions successfully produced a series of paintball documentaries, the Pressure DVD series, which garnered significant acclaim within the paintball community.
In 2005, Carl won the Audience Choice Award for the music video "Love At First Sight" as part of the South Yorkshire Filmmakers Network's 2 Weeks to Make It competition.
After a few years away from filmmaking, Carl transitioned into the digital media industry as a professional, becoming the director of the renowned digital agency Made Media, and is currently based full-time in Birmingham.
While filmmaking remains his passion, Carl is actively working on various short and feature film ideas, as well as participating in his local drama scene with Rubery Drama Group.
