Born and raised in the vibrant city of Toronto, Canada, Caitlin's roots are deeply embedded in the Great White North. However, her professional journey has taken her to the bustling metropolis of New York City, where she currently resides and serves as the driving force behind her development and production company, Tanbark Pictures.
Prior to establishing her own company, Caitlin honed her skills in the distribution sector, working with esteemed organizations such as Candy Factory Films, Lionsgate, and Seed&Spark. Her extensive experience in the industry has undoubtedly equipped her with the knowledge and expertise necessary to excel in her current role.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Caitlin is also a founder of The 51 Fund, a private equity fund dedicated to financing narrative feature films directed by women. This innovative initiative not only provides much-needed financial support to female filmmakers but also serves as a powerful platform for promoting diversity and inclusion within the industry.
