Bryn Mooser is a highly acclaimed filmmaker, humanitarian, and entrepreneur, with a distinguished career spanning over two decades. As the founder of XTR, a documentary studio, he has produced over 200 linear and immersive films, earning numerous accolades including multiple Emmy Awards, two Oscar nominations, a Peabody Award, and a Cannes Lion Award.
Prior to establishing XTR, Mooser co-founded RYOT, a media company specializing in documentary film and virtual and augmented reality. During his tenure at RYOT, he oversaw the production of numerous documentaries and immersive films, which garnered widespread recognition and critical acclaim.
In 2016, Mooser sold RYOT to Verizon, becoming a Senior Vice President and playing a key role in shaping the company's strategy for immersive and documentary films. While at Verizon, he helped develop the roadmap for AOL, Yahoo, and Verizon's documentary and immersive film initiatives.
In 2019, Mooser launched XTR, an entertainment studio focused on producing premium non-fiction film, television, and podcasts. As a humanitarian, he has dedicated himself to various causes, including serving as the Country Director for Artists for Peace and Justice in Haiti.
In Haiti, Mooser worked tirelessly to build the nation's largest Cholera center and a High School in Port-Au-Prince, which today educates nearly 3,000 Haitian youth per year. For his humanitarian efforts, he was honored with the prestigious Nelson Mandela Changemaker Award and was named one of Esquire Magazine's Americans of the Year.
